TECHNOLOGY DESCRIPTION

This invention demonstrates formulations of nanocellulose to produce durable and high-performing anti-fogging coatings.  Nanoparticles such as silica and zinc can be added to include anti-scratch properties. The coatings are easy to produce, cost-effective and environmentally-friendly.

Prof. Kenneth Carter is a professor in the Department of Polymer Science and Engineering at the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
